Donald Burns is an accomplished business leader with extensive experience in the telecommunications sector. Leveraging three decades of industry knowledge, Donald most recently served as chairman of the board of directors at magicJack, a provider of Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) software and technologies. Since inventing the Internet-enabled telecommunications solution, magicJack has sold more than 10 million of its eponymous devices and maintains a presence at over 25,000 retail stores around the world.
Before joining the board of magicJack, Mr. Burns served as the president of media and communications firm YMax Corp. and later spent several years as the chairman of the board of directors. Earlier in Donald Burns’ career, he emerged as a telecom industry leader at the helm of Telco Communications Group, Inc. He led the firm as president and CEO until 1997, when he successfully navigated a $77 million IPO and sold the venture to Excel Telecommunications for $1 billion in cash and equity.
Outside of the telecommunications sector, Donald Burns oversees the Razor House.
